Android reminders and shared snoozes
- Optional Android notifications show overdue and upcoming totals in the title, followed by a compact list with property or vehicle context and timing such as (62d late), (Today), or (in 2d), without repeated group headings. When both groups have items, four preview slots are shared (normally two each, with spare slots used by the other group); a single group shows up to three. Remaining-item counts keep the summary compact. Long names may wrap. Tap to open Alerts. Private item details are hidden on the lock screen by default, subject to Android notification settings.
- Choose an Android-only window: overdue only, due today, the next 1, 3, or 7 days, or Match in-app Alerts. Fixed windows include overdue work without shortening your in-app planning view. The default is the next three days plus overdue; items with invalid dates can still appear as needing review.
- Include automatic payments & renewals is off by default and applies to Ledger entries marked Passive Autopay. Excluded entries remain visible in the app.
- Snooze individual items in Alerts for 1, 3, or 7 days, including overdue items. The full snooze duration applies to both active in-app alerts and Android notifications. Items remain available under Snoozed and in their normal sections; restoring a snoozed alert does not complete or delete it.
- A one-time invitation follows What's New for users who have not seen the feature invitation. Declining explains how to enable reminders later, without repeating the invitation on future upgrades. LifeCycle's switch and Android's notification permission are shown separately.
- The preferred delivery hour defaults to 8:00 a.m. local time; existing choices are preserved across normal app upgrades. Hourly background checks can deliver from that hour through the rest of the day, without the former four-hour cutoff. Scheduled daily delivery is not early, but Android can delay it beyond an hour or prevent it; exact-time delivery is not guaranteed. Optional battery/deep-sleep guidance is available in Settings.
- Explicitly enabling reminders with Android permission requests an initial summary when eligible overdue items exist, without waiting for the preferred hour—even if today's notice was dismissed. Android may still take time to display it. This counts as today's delivery, avoiding another scheduled summary that day. Upcoming-only items follow the normal schedule.
- Keep notification after opening is off by default. Enable it to open Alerts without dismissing the notice; the setting applies immediately to a visible notice, and swiping still dismisses it. Visible summaries update quietly and disappear when no eligible items remain. Dismissed summaries are not recreated by ordinary refreshes that day. Swiping does not snooze individual items.
- Reminder initialization and automatic-backup scheduling now handle startup errors independently, so a backup-scheduling error does not skip reminder initialization.
Clearer Settings and Search & AI Assistance
- Settings is grouped into Reminders & Alerts, Backup & Restore, Planning & Clothes, Home, Search & AI Assistance, and Troubleshooting. Clearer headings, spacing, and aligned links make related controls easier to find.
- Search & AI Assistance replaces the user-facing Find & Log name. Search works without AI; optional on-device Nano assistance helps interpret Home work requests, with local search first and no cloud fallback.
- Nano availability is checked automatically when its settings page opens. The switch is enabled only when Nano is available, with separate explanations for downloads, unavailable configurations, and failed checks. Downloads require explicit confirmation; a failed check is not presented as proof that the phone is unsupported.
- Troubleshooting includes the diagnostic log, user guide, and Contact LifeCycle links. The compact What's New popup highlights 2.3 and shows previous 2.2.1 highlights when relevant to the upgrade.
Backup-folder refinements
- Reconnecting the same backup folder preserves an enabled automatic-backup setting. Selecting a different destination remains a separate choice, with existing archives protected until automatic backup is enabled.
- Selecting a backup folder no longer opens a restore dialog. Restore ZIP explicitly starts restoration. When existing backups are found in a newly selected folder, an explanation remains visible until acknowledged or dismissed, or until you leave Settings.
